INSECURITY: ZMSG PROHIBIT FARMERS FROM GROWING CEREAL CROPS ALONG HIGWAYS

Zamfara State government has prohibited farmers from growing cereal crops along its major highway.

The council according to the state Commissioner for Information Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa while addressing journalists at the end of the council meeting said such cereal crops like Millet and Sorghum shall not be planted 500mtrs from the highway in order to repel bandit’s plan of taking advantage of the availability of cereal crops to be attacking people.

The council also resolved to increase fertilizer distribution to farmers to (188) trucks in order to enhance their farming activities.

The council through the Commissioner for Information also reported that a total of (712) Primary health care has been assessed out of which (581) were totally evaluated.
