Some suspected armed bandits invaded Zauma village in Bukkuyum local government area of Zamfara and killed four people.
According to the residents, the bandits came to the town around 4:00pm on Tuesday heavily armed with deadly weapons and surrounded the entire village.
Their actions of blocking every entrance of the village prompted nine persons to be attacked as a result of gunshots fired on them by the bandit criminals.
As a result of the attack, the entire residents of the village to fled for their safety.

Bello Zakari Zauma an influential figure in Zauma said in the morning of the following day people reunited to pick corpses of those killed for burial when the bandits returned again a situation that forces people to abandon the funeral arrangements and fled once more.
He stated that though they did not rustle any cow, the bandit criminals broke many shops and carted away with foodstuff and provision utensils.
“ As at now four people were killed in the attack while five others that sustained various injuries have been hospitalized”
“While people were preparing to perfect funeral arrangements for those that were killed, three others were shot by the bandits on the second return”.
