GOVERNOR MATAWALLE INSPECTS CONSTRUCTION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT LODGE IN BUNGUDU

Zamfara State  Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle has commended the contractor handling the construction work of Governor’s Lodge in Bungudu local government area for executing an excellent work which according to the Governor will stand the test of the time. 


The Governor handed down the commendation on Subday when he paid an inspection visit to the ongoing construction work. 


I n a statement by the Governor’s Director General on Public Enlightenment Media and Communication Malam Yusuf Idris said, Matawalle is satisfied with the quality of work so far executed and urged the contractor to maitain the standard and make sure that the project is completed the project according to the contractual agreement. 


He explained that his administration has inherited a dilapidated govenor’s lodge and in some local governments, there is even no place where government official will stay during a working visit to the  local government areas a circumstance he described as unacceptable. 

 
He Promised to change the pace of local governments administration through construction of befitting staff quarters and government lodges across the 14 local government areas of the state in order to reduce too much expenses in payment of accommodation for government officials. 


The Governor also inspected the Bungudu Town Hall Centre where he ordered for the expansion of the existing structure from 200 to 400 capacity 


Conducting the Governor round the project site company representative Engr. Hudu Muhammad assured the Governor of his company’s readiness to execute the constract according to the specification provided for by the government and also make sure that standard is maintained at every level of execution of the project. 


The Governor was accompanied in the visit by Former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Ahmed Anka, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda Gusau, Head of Service, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, Deputy Chief of Staff,Dr. Bashir Mohammed Maru, Commissioners of Finance, Special Duties, Local Government and Community Development, as well as that of Works and Transport,
