All flash points affected by the activities of the armed bandits in Zamfara State are to be connected with GSM network services in order to allow for easy communication between residents and security operatives.
Special Adviser to Zamfara Governor on Public Enlightenment Media and Communication Malam Zailani Bappa stated this during a TV show programmes of Thunder Blowers Online TV “Tiryan Tiryan in Gusau on Wednesday.
Bappa said few weeks back while in Abuja Governor Bello Matawalle visited the Minister of Communication Isah Ali Pantami where he solicited for his intervention to get some of the critical flash points in Zamfara connected with the GSM network service in order to allow for easy communication.
He said the minister immediately contacted the head of MTN Nigeria where agreement was reached at the end of the meeting that all the areas identified by the state government be connected with MTN services soonest.
He also said the Minister of Communication helped the Governor in securing the provision of solar power which is to be installed at the RUGA complex in Maradun as part of the Federal Government intervention to support Zamfara RUGA initiative.
“Now a days, Governors have to be regularly visiting Abuja and consult with stakeholders in order to secure more socio-economic opportunities for their people” Bappa added.
