Special Adviser to Zamfara State Governor on Public Enlightenment Media and Communication Malam Zailani Bappa disclosed that, former administration of Governor Yari of Zamfara has sold out the promisory note of 37.4 billon naira issued to the state at a discount rate of 17.4 billion naira.

The media aid who made the submission during a TV show programme of Thunder Blowers Online TV in Gusau “Tiryan Tiryan said, after compromising 20 billion naira to United Bank for Africa UBA the Governor and his aids siphoned the remaining 17 since there is nothing to show as evidence of work done with the money.

He reaffirmed that, the former government used an operational account of the state University Talatar Mafara to divert N10 billion naira from the said N17 billion naira paid by the UBA.

He also alleged that up to now the former government could not account for the 80% of the 27 billion naira paid to a company owned by the brother of a former Governor for job executed not above 10% before May 29th 2019.

He said in order to resolve the whole issue a Judicial Commission of Inquiry has been set up to investigate facts regarding the allegations against the immediate past administration of Yari and recover what belongs to the people of the state.
