Governor Bello Matawalle has lamented the rate at which traditional institution are loosing respect especially from the generation of today.
He handed down the lamentations when he received members of the state emirate council led by their Chairman the Emir of Zamfaran Anka Alh Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad.
The Governor regrettably lamented that traditional institutions in Northern Nigeria are loosing relevance without consideration to their strategic importance as the pioneer institutions of leadership in Northern Nigeria.
Governor Matawalle noted further that, if traditional political institutions are accorded the respect they deserved, even the dwindling security situation facing the state could be reduce to minimum.
He reaffirmed the need for all and sundry to joint hand in ending the problem of insecurity especially armed banditry by utilizing the skills and expertise of these traditional political institutions in various localities of the state.
