Zamfara State Commissioner for Religious Affairs Tukur Sani Jangebe has passionately appeal to the people of Zamfara State especially those identified by the government to benefit from the cows and rams to be distributed for Sallah festivity to bear with the government over its inability to provide the cows and rams for the celebration.
This is contained in an audio announcement by the Commissioner which was shared on the personal page of the Standard Voice Television.
The Commissioner maintained that, the Governor has actually approved the proposal but despite all effort the ministry for religious affairs was not able to secure funds from the bank.
He said, as soon as Sallah festivity is finished the ministry will make a renewed arrangement for the intervention to reach all those earlier identified.
He noted with worry that, the inability of the government to distribute the rams and cows as promised was not a deliberate one but a failure which was unavoidable.
It could be recall that, during a Sallah Broadcast, Governor Matawalle announced that, his administration has procured and distributed 900 cows and 5,663 rams to the needy and less privileged persons to celebrate Sallah with relative ease.
The recent audio of the Commissioner has now contradicted the earlier pronouncement made by the Governor in his Sallah broadcast to the people of the state.
