Zamfara State government is to embark on the construction of beffiting governor’s lodge in all the fourteen local government areas of the state.
This was disclosed by the State Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle during a Sallah homage to Emir of Maradun Garba Muhammad Tambari in his palace.
The governor said, the wisdom behind the idea is to help bring governance closer to the people and for him to come down to the grassroot and see things for himself.
“For those who cannot see the governor because he stays at the state capital, the governor will be coming down to local government headquarters and be spending days with his people”.
“Where lighter requests are made I will instruct my commissioners for finance or local government to act so that, public needs can be attended to urgently”. Matawalle added.
“The governor’s lodge will wear a modern look that even Mr President can lodge their comfortably and we are committed to finishing that project soonest” Matawalle added.
He noted that, for Maradun local government alone, he has renovated a whole school and also awarded contract for the reconstuction of Dosara road to ease transportation difficulties.
He further explained that, his administration has awarded contract for the reconstruction of Danmarke, Ruwan Doruwa, Kanoma-Anka road to help cushion transportation difficulties encountered by the people playing the road.
