Accountants and other staff of Zamfara State Ministry of Finance have commenced a capacity training on essential component of International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS) especially on the marginal transition from IPSAS cash base to IPSAS cash accrual.
The capacity training which is holding at JAIZ Hotel Gusau would focus on training of staff on the modern method of the preparation of the end of the year financial statement.
The training is facilitated by staff of the office of the Accountant General of the Federation in collaboration with that of the state.
In a remark, the State Commissioner for Finance, Rabiu Garba assured that the programme of IPSAS would record 70% successes from now to the end of the year 2021 as well as predicted that by the end of the year 2022 it would record 90% level of successes.
