SALLAH HOMAGE: FORMER MINISTER OF DEFENSE DAN-ALI VISIT GOVERNOR BELLO MATAWALLE

Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle has called for collective efforts among all critical stakeholders in the state in his bid to ending insecurity and armed bandit activity in the state.

The Governor made the call in Gusau on Friday when he received the former Minister of Defense, General Muhammed Mansur Dan Ali rtd who paid him sallah homage at the state Government House, Gusau.

In a statement by the Governor’s Press Secretary Malam Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji said, the Governor expressed appreciation for the visit by the former Defense minister saying, as a Governor of the state, he would do all that
is possible to ensure that peace and tranquility has fully returned to all parts of the state.

He noted futher that, with the support of the stakeholders including the Federal Government normalcy is gradually returning to Zamfara State.

He assured that the peace initiative embarked upon by his administration will continue to be maintained through stick and carrot approach.

Governor Bello Matawalle commended the efforts of president Muhammadu Buhari, security agencies, traditional and religious leaders as well as all critical stakeholders in the fight against banditry and called on all and sundry to intensify prayers for God almighty to bring an end to this crises’ situation in the state.

Earlier, the former Minister of Defense, General Muhammad Mansur Dan Ali rtd said he was at the Government House to felicitate with the Governor, Government and people of Zamfara state on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and eid-el fitr celebrations.

General Mansur Dan Ali commended Governor Bello Matawalle for taking the giant steps of restoring peace in the state within the shortest possible time.

He also emphasized that the people of Zamfara state are aware of Governor Bello Matawalle’s untiring efforts to ensure the return of peace in the state, and encouraged him to continue with his administration’s peace initiative.

He also enjoined people of Zamfara state to rally round the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle and continue to pray for the return of sustainable peace in the state.

The former Defense minister was later conducted round the new Presidential lodge, and 18 new Guest Houses within the Government House constructed by the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle and other infrastructures in the state, where he expressed confidence in the ability of the Governor to transforming the state to an enviable position.

In the same vein, the governor received a delegation from Yazid Danfulani Foundation, led by Alhaji Yazeed Danfulani on a traditional sallah homage.

During the visit, the Governor commended the proprietor of the foundation, Alhaji Yazeed Danfulani for his philanthropic assistance to the people and urged him to sustain the gesture.
