Zamfara State Police command in collaboration with the state peace committee has secured the release of (11) eleven persons abducted near Wanzamai village in Tasafe local government area of the state.
Spokesperson of the police in Zamfara SP Shehu Muhammad who confirmed this via a statement issued to journalists in Gusau on Sunday said, the victims were attacked on the 4th of June 2021.
According to Shehu the Victims are all natives of Katsina State, and they were abducted by the suspected armed bandits while returning from their business activities in Gummi weekly market
He said they were abducted while in a J5 bus with a registration number DMS 06 XA and we’re taken to the forest by their abductors.
Shehu further said, the kidnapped victims were medically checked by the government medical team before being debriefed and reunited with their families by the Police respectively.
