The managing Editor and Chief Executive officer of Thunder Blowers Dr. Anas Sani Anka has given a first-hand account of how the soldiers killed by suspected bandits along Kucheri and Wanzamai were conveyed expectedly to Faskari military super camp.
The CEO who was driving to Kaduna at around 5:00pm on Wednesday said two military HILUX VANS conveying the corpses of the slain soldiers overtook him along Gidan Giye in Tsafe local government area with armed military soldiers firing shots in the air.
He said he followed them closely to ascertain what happened up to the time when they reached Yankara town, the border separating Zamfara and Katsina states.
He added that on arrival at Yankara the military vehicles headed toward Faskari and some persons at Faskari informed him that the soldiers lost their lives during operation.
Anka said it was same location where the last incident that cut of with him occurred, and it was around same time.
He said while in Yankara many people sympathized with the operatives of the military over the casualties they have recorded.
He called on the state government to take new measures in securing the Yankara-Gusau road as residents said the bandits certainly turned that road to an operational field.
