The younger brother of Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa’s Spokesperson Bello Bakyasuwa named Mannir Lawal Bakyasuwa was shot to death by some suspected gunmen at the early hours of Saturday.
According to Bello Bakyasuwa the bandits who were about twelve in number came on bike and went to their family house straight where they identified the victim and shot him to death.
He said they came to the Bakyasuwa town around 4:00am on Saturday armed with guns, shot the victims and disappeared without attacking anyone in the village.
Bakyasuwa also said the suspected gunmen later came back around 8:00am and asked about Bello Bakyasuwa but later disappeared when they noticed he was not in the town.
Bello Bakyasuwa said the gunmen might have taken advantage of the death of his Uncle Alh Haladu Sarkin Noma three days ago to target him, but luckily for him, he was not around.
He also said they have seized numerous personal GSM of his relations during the attack.
He further said this is the second time they have launched attack at his Bakyasuwa family house within a month, until when they succeeded in killing his brother this time around.
