The acting Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zamfara State Chapter Comr. Bello Boko alongside some few members of the union and others from RATTAWU were involved in a ghastly motor accident on their way to Maradi in Niger Republic.
The accident occurred along Kurfi-Katsina road when motorcycle rider crosses their way while they were driving on speed.
According to the acting Chairman their car immediately crashed off the road, a circumstance that resulted in many of them sustaining various degrees of injuries.
Those involved in the accident include the Acting Chairman himself who hails from the state Ministry of Information, Sanusi Danbuga Gummi and Ibrahim Umar Gidan Tsika all of them staff of Zamfara State Radio and Television Services and Daniel Dogon Yaro from Radio Nigeria Pride FM Radio.
According to the acting Chairman, they have been medically attended to and effort is being made to get the vehicle evacuated before they are returned home.
No life was lost to the accident .
