Zamfara State chapter of the Nigerian Labor Congress has made a passionate appeal to the state government over eviction notice issued to its members residing at Data (168) housing units.
This is contained in a communiqué issued to new men at the end of its emergency state executive Council meeting held in Gusau on Thursday.
The Union said having identified that the previous administration has wrongly allocated the houses to the beneficiaries, the current administration need to take urgent measures and get the problem redressed.
The Union said it would not allow its members and their families to be rendered homeless as a result of inability of other officials in the past.
The meeting ended with special prayers for the restoration of peace and security in the State and prayed for government’s quick response to the identified pressing issues bedeviling the workers.
The meeting also commended the national leadership of the Union, led by Comr. Ayuba Waba for sending his officials message of condolences to the state government over the recent tragic incident.
