The decision for the unanimous votes according to house spokesperson Mustapha Jafar Kaura followed a motion moved by the Deputy Speaker Musa Bawa Yankuzo and supported by Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma.

Jafaru said, the clerk of the House Shehu Saidu Anka adopted the voting process for the members at the instance of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Nasiru Muazu Magarya.

He reported that (18) out of the (24) members at the plenary voted in favour of the impeachment process.
