Zamfara State Students Union Government (SUG) Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Talatar Mafara had presented award of excellence to Alh Abubakar Jafar Maradun the present permanent secretary Zamfara state government house.
The award which was presented to him by the Abdu Gusau Polytechnic was tagged “ICON OF PEACE AMBASSADOR”.
He was awarded in recognition of his outstanding contribution to community service.
The President of the Union had elaborated that, the permanent secretary has done a lot by providing free Jamb forms to (200) Zamfara indigents, as well as enroll many of them into polytechnic Mafara, College of Agriculture and Animal Science Bakura and many other places.
In his remarks, Abubakar Jafar called on the union to encourage e their members to concentrate on their studies, and also shun drugs abuse.
He also urged the leadership of the Union to actively involve their female counterparts into campus politics so that they can be part of the larger governance circle after graduation.
