A chieftain of All Progressive Congress Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi said, former Governor of Zamfara Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar should have been in jail if EFCC and ICPC are doing their job.

Wamban Shinkafi who stated this during a press conference in Gusau on Monday said, there are many judgements against the former Governor Yari by many courts in Nigeria but it seems the investigation agencies are reluctant in bringing the former Governor to book.

He further said, former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu, Jolly Nyame and many other former Governors have been convicted and are serving their various jail terms while Yari is shuttling on the air using shattered flights.

He called on Governor Bello Matawalle to renew steps aimed at getting Yari arrested for the Zamfara fund to be repatriated and be used to support the lives of the IDP’s and other vulnerable personalities.
