Some suspected armed bandits have allegedly launched an unsuccessful operations in Jangeru community of Zamfara state.
A source who spoke with this medium said, the armed bandits arrived in the community around 12:30am on Sunday and started shooting sporadically.
According to him, “after hearing the sound of gunshots, people ran indoor while members of vigilante took cover to prevent them from entering the town”.
He said no life was lost to the attack, as the armed bandits were not successful in entering the town.
Jangeru is one of the communities in Shinkafi which have come under serial attacks by some suspected armed bandits in recent time.
