The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bello Matawalle on Public Private Partnership Mr. Nuhu Bashir Khalil has formally resigned his appointment.

This is contained in a special letter of notice he issued to the state government and pasted same on his verified Facebook page.

He said “I wish to thank Allah SWT the creator of the heaven and the universe for sparing my life to witness this Day. I thank Allah for his blessings and mercies throughout the journey of my life.

“Special gratitude to my parents, family, friends, political associates and well wishers for their prayers, unflinching support and words of encouragement”.

“I wish to thank his Excellency, Dr Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) for the opportunity to serve in his government for the past 20 months”.

“I wish to apologize to whoever I offended intentionally or unintentionally during my service. I forgive whoever offended me in one way or the other.”

He listed some of his achievements while in office to include the following:

(1) Secured National Business Skills Initiative 2020

(2) Agribusiness Development and Empowerment program.

(3) Capacity Building and Entrepreneurship Development training for 100 MSMEs within Gusau Central Market.

(4) Secured scholarship and offer sponsorship to over 20 less privileges at Zamfara College of Arts and Science and COE Maru within 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic session.

(5) Installation of security lights in some strategic areas of Galadima ward.

(6) Secured jobs to some indigenes of Galadima Ward.

(7) Visited many International organisations such as GIZ, Oxfam to secure interventions for Zamfara State.

(8) Secured the inclusion of Zamfara State in the phase 2 of the Nigeria competitiveness project( German EU value chain support project).

(9) Initiated first Zamfara MSME’s talent hunt program (Unfinish).

(10) Free Online Business registration for Hundreds of MSME’s.

(11) Collaborated with NIRSAL for the processing of 300 AGMEIS loans.

(12) Secured Grants to some MSME’s.

(13) Secured inclusion of Zamfara State on Qatar Investment summit 2022.

(14) Facilitated export opportunities & grants to some MSME’s.

(15) Distribution of fask masks & sanitizers to schools.

To his colleagues in the government he said, “Politics will never separate us as its not the important factor that binded us together”.

I extend my hands of friendship to everyone, irrespective of political party affiliation.

I will continue to contribute to the development of our dear State inshaa Allah.

I thank everyone for the show of love and support. The support I saw is a clear result of peaceful living with people irrespective of their family background or political belief.

The politician also announced his formal decision to joining NNPN and declared his intent to contest for the post of state house of assembly representing Gusau (1) constituency.
