The wife and two female daughters of the academic staff of the Federal College of Education Technical Gusau who were abducted last week by some suspected gunmen have been released Sunday evening.
According to a family source, the bandits released the abductees after payment of ten million naira (N10M) as ransom.
“Initially, the sum of ten million naira was paid to the abductors,, but they refused to released them and instead requested for additional money.
The abductees have since been reunited with their families, and dozens of sympathizers have been coming to sympathized with the families of the academician over the tragedy.
It could be recalled that suspected kidnappers abducted the wife and two female children of an academic staff of Federal College of Education Technical Gusau Abdulrahaman Umar Mu’azu on Thursday last week.
The lecturer, who doubled as the Deputy Director School of undergraduate of the college, was attacked by the suspected kidnappers Thursday night in his resident located at Mareri area an outskirt of the college Quarters in Gusau.
