At least six persons have been confirmed dead as a result of armed bandit attack on the people of Tudun Doki of Gwadabawa local government area of Sokoto State.
The attack which took place on Saturday left over (100) other people abducted according to the date not from the authorities.
According to the villagers, the assailants, numbering about seven, attacked the community around 1.30 am armed with sophisticated firearms. They shot at anybody on sight and abducted many members of the community.
Sokoto state police command through their spokesperson Ahmed Rural confirmed the killing of six persons to Punch newspaper.
Rural said through the information about the attack is sketchy, six persons have been confirmed killed by the suspected bandits.

He further said, the Divisional Police Officer attached to Gwadabawa led a team of policemen to the community to assess the situation and restore normalcy.
Six dead bodies were recovered by a search team and effort is still ongoing to recover other missing persons,” the police spokesman said.
Gwadabawa, one of the local governments in the Eastern Senatorial District of Sokoto State, had been peaceful until the Sunday morning attack.
