President Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu has been sworn into office as President, Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Monday the 29th of May 2023.
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola, administered the oath of office and that of allegiance to the new President and his running mate, Kashim Shatima at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
Tinubu and his wife Sen. Oluremi Tinubu were accompanied to the podium by the former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha Buhari who stood behind Tinubu as he took the oath of office.
Vice President Kashim Shatima was also administered his oath by the Chief Judge at some minutes past 10:00am.
President Asiwaju is a two-term governor of Lagos State, and often time he prides himself as the brain behind the transformation of Lagos from the doldrums to one of the largest economies in Africa.
