Residents of Daraga village in Maru Local Government area of Zamfara state have continued to cry out for help as bandits denied them the option of picking their deadly loved ones killed during an attack launched on their community last week Friday.
They told BBC Hausa service on Tuesday that, after attacking their community and killed twelve people, they have blocked them from picking the dead bodies for burial.
The source who does not want his name to be mentioned said, the majority of the people of Daraga community have fled to the neighboring Dankurmi, Zargado, Benna in Kebbi, as well as Onashi.
He said all attempts to get the support of the security agencies and indeed the government have failed.
They added that the security operatives stationed at Dankurmi cannot confront the bandits as they stood their ground in making sure that, no one is allowed to take the dead bodies of those killed for burial.
Effort to reach the police spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad to speak on the matter was not successful
