EXEC. SEC. FEMALE EDUCATION BOARD VISITS COMMISSIONER.

The Executive Secretary of Zmafara Female Education Board Hajiya Aminat Ahmad Gusau has paid a familiarization visit to the state Commissioner Ministry of Education Nasiru Zarumi Bukkuyum on Tuesday.

Mrs Amina who was in company of her management staff during the visit said she had visited the Ministry of Education to avail the Commissioner with her strategic plans for girl-child education in the state.

She assured that she will bring her vast experience to bear in initiating new ideas that would bring the desired reforms in the area of girl-child education.


She noted that with the investment so far made by the administration of Matawalle in the totality of the education sector, she will no doubt consolidate from the gain and continue to raise the flag high.

“We are all aware of the fact that Governor Bello Matawalle has a passion for girl child education and I have the conviction that my deployment to the Female Education Board is connected to the desire of the Governor to see sustainable changes in this area and I will continue to put in my best to make sure that I have championed the cause of lifting girl child education high in Zamfara during my tenure as Executive Secretary”.

She solicited for the support of the ministry in her bid to achieving her plans around girl child education.

In a response, the Commissioner Mr. Nasiru Zarumi thanked the Executive Secretary for the familiarization visit and assured her of the readiness of the Ministry to supporting her at all time.

He noted further that, Female Education Board is the first among the parastatals of the Ministry of Education that paid him a familiarization visit as the new Commissioner, and encouraged the Executive Secretary to continue to sustain the momentum.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
