The governing council and management of Maradun Islamic Academy had commended the Governor of Zamfara Bello Matawalle for returning the portion of land earlier confiscated back to the academy.
The commendation was handed down by one of the members of the governing council of the academy, Ahmad Abubakar Maradun in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The management jointly with the governing council also hails Governor Matawalle for instructing the ZSUBEB to construct additional blocks of classrooms to enhance teaching and learning in the academy.
The Governor also promised to provide furniture and other facilities for the existing block for immediate commencement of academic activities.
It could be recall that some part of land belonging to the academy was confiscated for a Local Government project in the late 2019, but as a result of an extensive discussion between Ahmad Abubakar Maradun former council Chairman and Governor Matawalle sometimes last week the decision was reversed out rightly.
Maradun who is one of the members of the governing council of the academy said, the recovery of the land and the pledge made by the Governor to provide of additional structures in the academy is the highest bond that will further tight and strengthen the academy with the Governor Matawalle and his government.
