HOW ZAMFARA APC SOCIAL MEDIA BLOGGER MUGIRA YUSUF WAS ALLEGEDLY ARRESTED BY OPERATIVES OF ZAMFARA CTU

A Zamfara APC social media blogger Mugira Yusuf was allegedly arrested by the operatives of counterterrorism unit (CTU) along Anguwar Dallatu in Gusau at the late hours of Thursday.

A source who confided on this medium said, Mugira was seated at the business shop of one of his friend Sufiyanu Sani Gusau nick-named Sufi when a staff of Zamfara government house came around the shop and started making some suspicious phone calls.

The source said when Sufi noticed the suspicious way in which the government House official was making calls and observing the shop carefully, sufie advised Mugira to quickly leave.

Though Mugira insisted knowing why he has to leave, but his friend insisted he should leaves.

The source, added that, after a heated argument, Mugira climbed a commercial motorcycle and left the shop.

He added that, later, Mugira returned to same Shop at Anguwar Dallatu asking his friend to tell him the reason he asked him to leave.

According to the source, while the argument lasted between Mugira and his friend, a Hilux Van full load of police operatives allegdly “counterterrorism” arrived the place and jacked away Mr. Mugira to an unknown destination.

As at the time of filing this report, the destination of Mugira Yusuf is not yet known, but some residents of Anguwar Dallatu who witnessed what happened said the man who masterminded the arrest of Mr. Mugira left instantly and drove to the state government house.

Mugira Yusuf is a strong political supporter of APC Yari faction and has been a constant critic of the current government of Bello Matawalle since 2019.

Zamfara State Police Spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad could not be reached for comment over the matter.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
