IN GUSAU LOCAL GOVERNMENT ALONE GOV. MATAWALLE HAS EXECUTED PROJECT WORTH OVER(N10B)
As part of the reply to the statement credited to Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Zamfara state Bashiru Idris Ataka has declared that Governor Bello Matawalle has executed capital development projects worth over (N10b) in Gusau local government alone.
The politician who spoke to the Managing Editor on Friday said it is laughable for Zannan Bungudu to make such a heavy statement considering the facts that the level of infrastructural development executed by the Governor even in the constituency he represented are visibly running into billions of naira.
It could be recalled that Zannan Bungudu in an interview with this medium on Friday raised concern that the present government of Bello Matawalle cannot proudly identify a single project worth over (N10m) it has executed in any of the (14) local government areas.
But Ataka pointed that the ongoing construction of Cargo-Airport in Gusau, the upgrade and renovation of government house, township roads as well as access roads in Gusau Central market are all few among the numerous projects he can point that runs into billions of naira in Gusau alone.
He also took Maru one of the local governments from the constituencies Zanna represented and explained that the ongoing construction of Danmarke-Ruwan Dorawa and Kanoma road alone is a clear testimony of the billions of naira the present administration of Bello Matawalle has injected into infrastructural development of rural areas.
According to him there is no single local government he cannot point to over a billion naira project initiated by the government of Bello Matawalle in the area of infrastructural development describing the statement by Zannan Bungudu as politically out of points.
He warned that, conducting ward congress by the Matawalle faction of the APC is the best way to show appreciation to the effort made by the Mai Mala Buni led APC caretaker committee to bring sanity to the APC in the state.
He advised the Yari faction of the APC to respect the will of Allah by accepting Matawalle as the party leader and work toward uniting the party for the 2023 political race.
