KATSINA GOV. RADDA APPOINTS FMR. FMBN MD/CEO DANGIWA AS SECRETARY TO STATE GOVT

The Katsina State Governor, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has appointed a former managing director and chief executive officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

in a statement personally signed Radda also appointed Jabiru Tsauri and Muhtar Aliyu Saulawa as his chief of staff and deputy chief of staff respectively.

Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, according to the statement, was equally appointed as the principal private secretary to the governor.

He has also approved the appointment of Maiwada Danmallam as Director-general media; Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, chief press secretary; Miqdad Isah, senior special assistant on digital media and Abubakar Badaru Jikamshi as the senior special assistant on print and electronic media

The governor, in addition, has approved the appointment of Bishir Maikano as the senior special assistant (Protocol) deputy governor’s office.

“Other appointments are Alh. Hassan Ibrahim Danhaire as Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) Deputy Governor’s Office and Ahmed Rabiu as Official Photographer to the Governor.

“The Governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to join hands with him in turning around fortunes of the State,” the statement reads

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
