Governor Dauda Lawal has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration in making sure that the killers of late Abubakar Hassan Mada are brought to book.
The Governor handed down the commitment when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the Islamic cleric in Mada on Friday.
According to the statement by the Governor’s Spokesman Sulaiman Bala Idris the Governor as a show of respect to the deceased observed his jumuat prayers alongside a hundred of others in Mada district of Gusau local government.
According to Mr. Sulaiman the Governor offered his condolences to the family of the late scholar, the district head and entire people of Mada district.
While addressing the congregation, the Governor promised to do everything within his power to ensure that justice is done for the unfortunate incident.
‘I am here to reassure the good people of Mada town that my government is committed to ensuring that justice is served and that the perpetrators of the incident are brought to book’.
‘’No stone will be left unturned in the pursuit of justice for the murder of Sheikh Abubakar. We will work tirelessly to ensure that the late Sheikh and his family received the justice they deserved”.
“The police have initiated an immediate investigation into the extra judicial killing. I solemnly swear by Allah that we will ensure that anyone found guilty of this heinous act will be brought to justice”.
