MILITARY OPERATIONS:ZMSG TO SUPPORT THE INJURED & FAMILIES OF THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara has commended the effort of the Nigerian military for successfully carrying out offensive operation against the criminal armed bandit’s in their various hideout along the Dansadau forest .

The Governor who stated this on Monday during a statewide broadcast to the people of Zamfara State strongly condemned the resurgence of the armed bandit attacks in the state.

The Governor described the operation conducted by the military operatives as “ a complex and daring operation by our brave security forces which has immensely contributed to making the communities around Dansadau axis safer”.

“The success of this operation is a testament to the bravery and dedication of our armed forces”.

“I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to them for their sustained efforts in protecting our communities and crushing banditry and other crimes in all parts of our State”.
Matawalle lamented that for too long, the good people of the State have lived in fear of the bandits who have plagued our communities, causing untold suffering and hardship.

“These criminal elements have shown no regard for the lives and well-being of our citizens and have terrorised our State with their ruthless acts of violence in various forms”.

He lauded the efforts of security forces, particularly the Nigerian army and air force, saying the people of Zamfara State “are witnessing a significant turning point in the fight against these bandits”.

According to him, the recent operations by the Nigerian armed forces have successfully taken out scores of bandits, bringing an end to their reign of terror and bringing the much-needed relief to our people.

“This is a momentous occasion, and I want to take this opportunity to thank the brave men and women of the Nigerian army and air force who have risked their lives to protect our communities”.

“Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and I am deeply grateful for their service to our dear State”.

“I am aware that in the course of the onslaught against these barbarous elements, scores of lives have been lost from the sides of the friendly communities and the security forces”.

He condoled with our military authorities, families, and colleagues of the fallen heroes over the loss.
“I equally commiserate with the families of those who lost their lives in the course of the operations in our various communities”.

He explained that his government will support the injured and the families of those who lost their lives from the side of the affected communities and the security forces.

“While we celebrate the recent successes, we must also recognise that there is still much work to be done”.

According to him, the fight against banditry is ongoing, stressing that his administration must remain vigilant in its efforts to bring these criminals to justice and ensure the safety and security of communities.

” I want to reassure our people that my administration will remain committed to working closely with the Nigerian army, air force and other security forces to continue the fight against banditry”.

“We will do everything in our power to provide the necessary resources and support to our armed forces so that they can continue to keep our communities safe and secure”.

“I also want to take this opportunity to urge our people to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities”. Matawalle said

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
