President Muhammad Buhari has expressed confidence in the ability of the APC to winning the 2023 general elections.
Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Communications Prof. Isah Ali Pantami stated this when he paid an inspection visit to the Tinubu /Shalima Presidential campaign office in Gusau
Pantami was in Gusau for the closing ceremony of this year’s Quranic Memorization competition organized by Center for Islamic Studies, Usman Danfodio University Sokoto which took place in Gusau the capital city of Zamfara.
While at the inspection visit, Sen. Marafa took the Minister round the campaign office for him to see things for himself.
He commended the arrangement put in place by the Coordinator, saying that the effort jointly put in place by Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle, former governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa deserved commendation.
He assured the people of the state that with Tinubu as the next president under the APC, the nation will witness overwhelming transformation.
The president thanked the people of Zamfara and all Nigerians for the support he has been enjoying in his leadership, and urged Nigerians to continue to support the APC by ensuring its victory at all levels in the forth-coming elections.
While welcoming the president and his delegation, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle informed him that Zamfara is the home-base of the APC as opposition parties seems not existing
The governor who is also the North West Zonal Coordinator of the Presidential campaign council noted that, the choice of an experienced state campaign Coordinator like Senator Marafa has added value to the political movement of Tinubu/Shatima
He said APC has no doubt in winning the entire North West geopolitical zone; hence solid campaign structure has been put in place to ensure its success.
In his remarks, the Tinubu/Shatima Presidential Campaign council Coordinator Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa said the choice of the office accommodation for the Presidential campaign office is borne out of the desire of the campaign council to making the APC stronger.
