In its exclusive story on Zamfara titled “ How Zamfara Governor, Matawalle paid N118 Million to a company linked to former campaign director Jamilu Zannah for abandoned governor’s lodge project” Sahara reporters named Punch Reporter for Zamfara as the head of Zamfara Procurement bureau.

In the exclusive story which was published on the 8th of May 2023 the online media outlet stated, “ when Sahara Reporters called the Director General of the Zamfara State Bureau for Public Procurement, Maiharaji Altine Gusau to get his reaction to our findings, he blamed the State Finance and General Purpose Committee (FGPC) for the irregularities in the procurement process”.

One of the APC chieftain Anas Abdullahi said nobody will ever take Sahara reporters serious because they are bent on surrendering their platforms for what many believe is against the ethics of corporate journalism.

Since after the 2023 election, they have been used by the PDP agents in Zamfara to publish mischievous publications against Governor Bello Matawalle and his government and for whatever reason, nobody will take them serious.

“People were surprised when they saw the name of a journalist appearing as the head of Zamfara BPP because, to the best of our knowledge, Maiharaji is a popular journalist known to many people in Zamfara and for Sahara Reporters to mischievously used his name to color its report against the personality of Governor Bello Matawalle people may not be surprise for what it has ridicule its integrity for”.

Let them do whatever they want to do, it’s a matter of time they would one day be used to tarnish the image of the same PDP government that is using them to cause chaos and confusion in the state.
