The correspondent chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zamfara state has presented an award of honour to former Governor of Zamfara state Abdul Aziz Yari Abubakar on Thursday.
The award was presented to him in recognition of his tireless services to humanity as Governor and now out of office.
Zonal Secretary of the union Abdul Razaq Bello Kaura made the formal presentation of the award to the former Governor during a special breakfast session (Iftar) held at the Governor’s private residence in Talatar Mafara.
He said the union has noticed with keen interest the level of services rendered by former Governor Yari toward the development of humanity.
In his reaction to the award, former Governor Yari said the award has encouraged him to do more and also gingered him to continue to sustain the cordial working relationship with the media practitioners in the state.
He thanked them for the recognition and prayed for God almighty to continue to sustain the existing cordial relationship.
