Zamfara state police command has announced the rescue of four victims recently kidnapped by some suspected bandits along Munhaye forest in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state.
Police Spokesperson in Zamrara SP Shehu Muhammad who announced this during a press conference on Sunday said, among the rescued victims was a one-year-old baby whose name is withheld.
“The rescue of the victims was sequel to the report received by the Police on the abduction of the victims, where a search and rescue operation was carried out, and the victims were successfully rescued unhurt”.
“During debriefing, the victims informed the Police that, on the 14th of October, 2022, Bandits in their large number invaded Kuraje village in Gusau LGA and abducted four of them to MUNHAYE forest in Tsafe LGA where they spent 15 days in captivity”.
SP Shehu said, the victims were taken to police clinic for medical examination and later got reunited with their families.
The police commissioner in the state Mr. Yusuf Kolo reaffirms the commitment of the state police command in ensuring that the right thing is done to make Zamfara people more secured.
