The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Zamfara Mukhtar Muhammad Lugga has accused the Zamfara Urban and Regional Planning Board of deliberately denying them the right to erect campaign Bill boards for the candidates across all levels.
Mr. Lugga who stated this during a radio Pride FM Programme in Gusau on Wednesday insisted that the decision by the management of the ZUREPB is deliberately made to frustrate their desire to advertise their candidates for the Zamfara people.
“We have written to ZUREPB and we are ready to pay any amount for ZUREPB to allow us erect billboards for our Presidential and gubernatorial candidates but for some obvious political reasons they denied us that opportunity”.
“If they accept our proposal and we paid whatever amount they asked us to pay they should have use the money to settle WAEC/NECO and also procure medicaments for the teeming populace”.
He urged the board to as a matter of ensuring political freedom of all political parties allow parties to erect their campaign billboards to enable voters have their political choice.
