The Zamfara State Police Command has assured the people of Zamfara state that, machineries have been put in place to ensure that the state is secured for the 2023 election.
Police Public Relations Officer of the command SP Shehu Muhammad who stated this during an exclusive interview with the Thunder Blowers on Thursday affirmed the police Commissioner Mr. Yusuf Kolo has mapped out security strategies aimed at making sure that the 2023 election is conducted peacefully in Zamfara state.
SP Shehu insisted that, the command has beeped up security in all the areas considered threatening to security, adding that the CP has ordered for a continued operation along the forests noting that, the efforts would be sustained before, during and after the election.
He noted further that, the current Police Commissioner Mr. Kolo Yusuf has brought in initiatives that help a lot in restoring peace in Zamfara, adding that there is no iota of doubt that under the present dispensation, Zamfara has recorded significant improvement around security.
Shehu further said, the CP has secured the borders and also provide effective surveillance that will further boost the confidence of the electorates and make the borders more secured.
On those displaced citizens, the PPRO assured that, strategies have been deployed by the police in collaboration with other sister security agencies to ensure that, security has been provided in those areas that were displaced so that electorates can be protected to go back to their base and cast their votes.
