POLITICAL TSUNAMI HITS ZAMFARA PDP AGAIN AS PDP LG EXECUTIVES, STATE ASSEMBLY ASPIRANTS DEFECT HOURS AFTER STATE PDP WOMAN LEADER JOINS APC

Two aspirants of the state assembly under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party alongside their hundreds of supporters have defected out of the People’s Democratic Party.

They were led to the state government House Gusau to perfect their defection by the former Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party in Kaura Namoda local government Hon. Jamilu A.J Kaura Namoda.

Jamilu A. J Kaura who was formaly the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party before he later defected to the ruling APC.

Among those that defected included Mal. Isah Nasarawa, who is currently the Vice Chairman of the PDP in Bakura Abubakar Garba Damri, Treasurer Bakura local government, and Jamila Sani Birnin Tudu a woman leader of the PDP.

Those from Kaura Namoda include, Mansur Said Financial Secretary of PDP in Kaura Namoda, Abdulaziz Tukur, PDP Youth leader Sarkin Mafara ward, Amiba Ibrahim Chair lady Kungurki ward, Hajiya Lantana Kaura Chair lady Jikan Malam Foundation.

In his remarks, the Vice Chairman PDP Bakura Mal. Isah Nasarawa said in the shortest possible time, more PDP local government executives are going to defect out of the PDP and join forces with the APC.

He informed the Governor that earlier than their defection, they have been funding PDP with their personal earnings and that time has come for them to join APC as the winning party.

They said the leadership of the PDP in Zamfara has abandoned its supporters to the extent that they are left with no option than to join the APC tohether with the Governor and emerged as victorious.

Governor Bello Matawalle in a remark applauded the decision of the defectors for joining APC as the winning party and assured them of his commitment to carrying them along.

He promised that, he will continue to consolidate from the gain of what he has done for the people and promised to do more to reciprocate the gesture by the people.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
