A pro- Yari group kwown as ‘Say Yes to Shaihi for Positive Change’ has donated N2.1 Million naira food stuffs and clothing materials to Internally Displaced Parsons, IDPs across Gusau local government area of Zamfara state.
The items included, bags of rice, millet and fares of clothing materials which have been distributed to over 300 internally displaced persons residing at Saminaka area in Gusau metripolis.
Presenting the palliatives to benefitting IDPs, Chairman of the group, Alh. Mu’azu Yusuf Dangaladima said, the gesture was deemed necessary as part of the group’s corporate social responsibility in order to ease hardship being experienced by the displaced persons.
” Our attention has particularly been drawn by a recent media report which disclosed the shocking condition of IDPs living in various uncompleted buildings in Gusau, the state capital”.
“It is on this basis that members of this group and some few individuals who are pro- Yari, the former Governor of Zamfara state, quickly swung into action and made contributions of what we have presented today.” Dangaladima said.
Speaking further, Dangaladima said similar programmes were carried out in IDP’s taking shelter in Talata Mafara and Anka local government areas of the state.
In his remarks after the distribution of the palliatives, the Scribe of Saminaka area, Alhaji Lukman Garba Tela Gusau expressed appreciation for the gesture and further prayed Allah to reward members of the group.
The Scribe also supervised the distribution of the items to the beneficiaries alongside his other co- members.
