The dissolved factional APC Leadership loyal to the former Zamfara state Governor, Alhaji Abdu-Aziz Yari has paid sallah homage to Governor Bello Matawalle at Maradun town, his country.
Former factional Chairman of the party Lawal L. Liman led the delegation in company of other prominent politicians from the camp.
In a remark, Liman said, the purpose of the visit was to rejoice with Governor Matawalle for successfully witnessing another Eid-el- Kabir festivity.
He re-stated the commitment and determination of the dissolved factional leadership and supporters of the former Governor Abdul-Aziz Yari who has chosen to align by the reconciliation entered into by the two leaders .
“The former Govenor and his supporters were all loyal to the APC leadership, under the watch of Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani and the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle by extension”, he added.
He urged political supporters of the former Governor Abdul-Aziz Yari across the state to work hard for the success of Governor Bello Matawalle in the forthcoming election.
Responding, Governor Bello Matawalle described the political reconciliation with the former Governor Yari as a victory for the democracy in the state.
According to him, the reconciliation was done in a good fate with a view to working together and move the state forward.
He wondered why some people were entertaining fear that a few frustrated politicians who refused to accept reconciliation could make any impact in 2023 election.
“I want use this opportunity and state that APC is rooted in all nooks and crannies of Zamfara state, but let’s wait and see how a particular local government area can constitute a threat to our success”, he lamented.
Governor Matawalle however, said going by the reconciliation, every member of the APC would have equal treatment in the party and government in the state.
