The case instituted by Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa against the All Progressive Congress and Secretary of the National caretaker committee Sen. James has come up for mentioning at the Zamfara State High Court (5) sitting in Gusau on Thursday.
Sen. Marafa is challenging the jurisdiction of the APC National Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni and his Secretary over their powers to conduct state APC Congress in Zamfara.
Another separate case filed by one Hajiya Hurairatu Ibrahim Garacchi and others challenging the authenticity of the state congress conducted in Zamfara as well as authenticity of the state executives produced during the Congress.
Bello Sulaiman BS and others also filed another separate suite in the same high court challenging the powers of the secretary of the national caretaker committee and validity of the executives of the (14) local government produced during the Congress.
All the three cases were mentioned and parties involved in the suites entered their appearances while counsels announced the filing of their respective arguments.
The case was adjourned to 14th march 2022 for continuation.
Counsels to both parties expressed hope that all the matters would be followed to their legal destinations.
