SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA.

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.

NEW PROVOST OF FCET GUSAU ASSUMES DUTY

The newly appointed Provost of the Federal College of Education Technical Gusau Dr. Mrs. Hauwa Mukhtar Abdul Karim has assumed duty.

According to a statement by Director of Protocol and Information Unit FCET, Gusau, Aliyu Umar said the appointment took effect from 1st August 2023.

At the assumption of duty, she engaged the staff of the institution as well as the Union in a strategic meeting to chat the way forward.

She assured that, she will do her possible best to ensure rapid transformation of the college and appealed to all and sundry for cooperation.

“The Federal College of Education (Technical) Gusau stands on the point of positive change under her capable leadership, as she embodies visionary education and gender parity advocacy as the first female provost from Zamfara State,” he revealed.

Meanwhile, the Provost, Dr Hauwau Mukhtar Abdulkarim, accompanied by her management staff had paid a courtesy visit to His Highness Emir of Gusau, Alh. Ibrahim Bello (MON) to seek his esteemed royal blessings.

The Provost expressed her gratitude to the Emir for his significant role in the overall development of the college and the existing cordial relations between Gusau emirate and the school.
