The funeral prayer of the Chief Imam of Maradun Jumuat mosque Mal. Najib Maradun was conducted on Sunday and was attended by hundreds of Muslim faithful.
Governor Bello Matawalle was represented at the funeral prayer by the Permanent Secretary of Government House Abubakar Jafar Maradun.
The permanent Secretary on behalf of the Governor described the death of Liman Najib as a great lost to the people of Maradun and Zamfara by extension.
Maradun urged the families of the decreased to take solace and consider the exit of the Islamic scholar as an exit which is inevitable.
It could be recalled that the Chief Imam Mal. Najib died after battling with prolonged illness.
