The ongoing proceeding instituted by Sen. Marafa against Governor Bello Matawalle faction of the APC could not proceed as planned on Monday due to what the lawyers to Sen. Kabiru Marafa described as “lack of adequate security arrangements on the site of the State Chief Judge”.
One of the counsels to Sen. Marafa Barr. Misbabu Salahudeen who addresses the press said, considering what transpired during the last sitting where some political thugs attacked members of their team including the spokesperson of the Senator, they have written to the State Chief judge demanding for adequate security arrangements ahead of the Monday sitting but noted that not a serious action was taken.
He said “we have written the first letter to the State Chief judge on the 21/02/2032, and we had expected the CJ to act but nothing was done. We were so scared of the security situation, and we have to raise alarm”.
He further said, “we have written another letter reminding the CJ of the development and unless proper security measures are taken we shall not come to court and be embarrassed again.
The matter has been adjourned to 18/3/2022 for continuation.
