The leadership of people’s Democratic Party in Zamfara state has condoled with the people of Anka and Bukkuyum Emirate over the recent armed bandit activities which resulted to the loss of over 200 innocent lives.
The Chairman of the party Col. Bala Mande (rtd) who spoke through the publicity secretary of the party Abba Bello said the tragic incident which resulted in the killing and burning of shelters, food silos and other valuable properties of over twenty villages has become a source of concern to all well-meaning citizens of Zamfara and Nigeria as a whole.
Col. Bala Mande on behalf of the PDP described the attack as both barbaric and inhuman, calling on the security agencies to seat up and safeguard the lives and properties of the people of the state.
He called on both the federal and state governments to be more proactive in deploying measures that would bring an end to the bloodbath ongoing in the state.
He described as unfortunate the refusal of the Governor Bello Matawalle to visit the two affected emirate councils and show the concern of his government, and also informed the people the measures he has employed to getting their security challenges addressed.
PDP employed the government of Bello Matawalle to avoid dwelling much on politics and campaign of calumny against personalities and instead concentrate on what would enhance governance and transform the lives of the people of the state.
The party assured the people of the state that, the party would continue to watch things as they unfold and also call the attention of the government for the right to be done.
