Zamfara State police spokesman Shehu Muhammad has bagged his promotion to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
He was decorated with his new rank by the state police Commissioner CP Kolo Yusuf at the state police headquarters in Gusau on Thursday.
SP Shehu who has been in the position of the police spokesman of Zamfara for number of years has actively played the role of mediator in between the police command and working journalists in Zamfara on matters related to free flow of information regarding the activities of the police in Zamfara.
Some of the journalists and family members of the police officers who attended the decoration event described CSP Shehu Muhammad as hardworking and brilliant police man whose passion is to build and sustain inter-agency relationship as well as make sure that public are put on the know of what the command is doing.
He was born in Talatar Mafara areas of Zamfara State and as a student of Mass Communication he has worked in various police commands and formations before he was redeployed back home to work as Divisional Police Officer, Personal Assistant to the Police Commissioner and now the Zamfara command Spokesperson.
