A total of 55,920 doses of Covid-19 vaccine has been handed over to Zamfara State for the commencement of the vaccine exercise across fourteen local government area of the state.
State Commissioner for Health Yahaya Abubakar Kanoma stated this while briefing newsmen shortly after the arrival of the vaccine at the State Medical Store Samaru Gusau on Thursday.

Kanoma said other consumables required for the exercise have also been adequately provided by Governor Bello Matawalle.He said each of the bottles of the vaccines contained (10) doses and would administer to (10) people in two cycles.
He noted that, the vaccine delivered to Zamfara is going to cover 27,960 persons, and it would be delivered to them also in two cycles.

He said apart from the state Governor and other prominent people identified, the ministry is going to focus on frontliners including fuel station pump attendants, medical and health workers, members of the press and Chairman of the state Council of traditional rulers among others.
