Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle has met with the Vice Chancellor Prof. Muazu Abubakar and management staff of Zamfara State University Talatar Mafara on Friday.
The Vice Chancellor who was in company of the Special Adviser Directorate for Higher Education Abdullahi Muhammad Gurbin Bore were at the seat of the power to discuss issues related to smooth take off of the University.
According to the statement by the Director General Directorate of New Media to the Governor of Zamfara Ibrahim Bello Zauma said, the Governor has directed all contractors handling the project to mobilize to site and ensure speedy completion of all the ongoing projects at the permanent site of the University in Talatar Mafara.
“Governor Matawalle has also directed the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government Alhaji Bello Bala Maru to ensure the handling of all the approvals he granted, including the release of official vehicles for members of the University Management and other units of the University” the statement added.
He explained further that, the Governor has directed the release of funds to the Directorate for Higher Education in order to assist tertiary institutions to respond to the dangers associated with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Zauma further added that, the Governor assured that his door is always open for the management staff to access him at all time.
