Zamfara State Commissioner Ministry for Women and Children Affairs Hajia Dr Rabi Ibrahim Ginbiyar Shinkafi has assumed Office o Wednesday.
She was accompanied by family members, friends, and well-wishers and was well received by staffers of the ministry.
She assured that she would initiate reforms aimed at minimizing the suffering of the women and children in the state.
She described the Ministry for Women and Children Affairs as the engine room of the government of Bello Matawalle and promised to work harder to make the ministry much more active.
She Promised to Work hand in hand with the office of the first lady, Hajiya A’isha Bello Matawalle to design and initiate meaningful programmes that have direct bearing to the lives of women and children in the state.
She assured the staff that the Governor has promised to renovate the ministry and provide all the facilities needed to enhance the working environment
The Commissioner also commended the Governor’s wife for her initiative in the skills’ acquisition program, women empowerment and maternal mortality reduction among pregnant women in the state.
She assured that she would work harder to make sure that women in Zamfara have voted massively for Governor Matawalle in the forthcoming election.
The acting permanent secretary of the ministry who received the commissioner assured her of the commitment of the staff of the ministry in supporting her activities as the commissioner.
