ZAMFARA WOMEN DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL DUE TO LACK OF TRANSPORT FARE
Management of School for Continuing Education in Gusau has raised alarm that students of the school in their large number are dropping out due to lack of transport fare
The school management asked the state government to provide a bus transit for movement of students since most of them dropped out of the school programme due to lack of transport fare.
They stated this on Thursday when the received the Executive Secretary of Zamfara State Female Education Board Mrs. Aminat Ahmad Abubakar who paid them a familiarization visit.
The school management also requested the state government to see to the possibility of establishing Skills Acquisition center so that the students can be trained on skills acquisition schemes.
They also called on the state government to establish early child care development units ECCD within the school so that they can have avenue to enroll their pupils during school hours.
The Executive Secretary of Zamfara Females Education Board Mrs Amina Ahmad Abubakar while commending the effort of the management of the school for their steady management of the school and assured them of her commitment to pursuing their need from the government.
She added that Governor Matawalle is committed toward improving girl-child education noting that soonest she would unveil her plans for the development of the female education board.
